We didn't know what to expect from Malaysian Borneo, but for sure we didn't know it would be like this! Kota Kinabalu was a surprise. It's hard to explain this place, but you'll see exactly what we mean after watching the video.
We hope you enjoy this Kota Kinabalu, Sabah video :) And this is just the beginning of our adventures in Malaysian Borneo! We can't wait to share more with you!
★ MORE INFO ABOUT THE FOUR-ISLAND TOUR:
1. What we did: we went to the Sutera Marina and basically talked to the only operator in the marina. They have all the tours and prices displayed, and even though it was slightly more expensive than other options, it was pretty painless and we had a great experience! We recommend this option :)
2. Another option (this was plan B for us): Go to Jesselton Point Jetty and try to negotiate a price. It will be cheaper than what we paid ($15 p/p), but there will be A LOT of different operators to choose from. This info was shared to us by a local and also from the guy at the beginning of the video.
In the end, we decided it was ok to pay a higher price because we were already there and it was the right choice for us :) but there are other options.

So if you're coming to KK, one of the most popular things to do is known as a four island

and that the coral reefs aren't that nice so we picked this one because the snorkeling is supposed

to be really really good we can't go in right now because there's a red flag and they're like trying

to protect the coral so once they switch it to a yellow flag we can't get in and then we're just

gonna hang out and walk around like it's so lush and look at the jungle behind us just dense green

So we're very fortunate to see people praying and just very grateful to learn about different

cultures and religions while we're here in Malaysia. One interesting observation I would say though is that they're a little bit more, I don't

know formal or strict with the dress for tourists so here and also the national mosque in Kuala

Lumpur they even made me dress in the traditional Muslim clothing that wasn't the case in Turkey

even in some of the more conservative areas but still very cool I feel like I look pretty good
