Day 10 of our new life as full time travelers // Recorded on Sep 16th 2021 We rented a car in Turkey! This was our first time driving on Turkish roads. There are a lot of options for day trips from Fethiye with different tour operators, but we decided to do it on our own instead of going on a packed tour. We visited Saklikent National Park and the ancient city of Tlos. We hope you liked it and had fun with us! Here's the route for today. We're obviously in Katia. And then as I understand, we have

to go take the highway a little bit past Kemer and then down to Toulouse, which are the ancient

ruins. And then from there we go to the national park, Sakhali Gens. So those are the two stops

for today's agenda. So this is our fiat for the next two days. We rented from Avis, so

35 minute drive more or less outside of the Fethiye city center and the roads are

pretty easygoing there's a little bit of sketchy driving happening but nothing

like too bad there's really not that many cars on the road. Tulos is one of the more famous ancient ruins in the area so it's a laichen ruin and yeah it

will be interesting to see I think it's pretty well maintained and it'll be cool to check out and walk around

This is the necropolis part of the city. So this is where the Lycians buried their dead

And it seems like families were all buried together in these different tombs. So it's

really cool to see how intact it all is and it's all just built directly into the mountain

which is crazy. I don't know how they did that. Floss is a really cool place to check out

we definitely recommend coming here. It only will take you one to three hours we would say

What was your favorite part? My favorite part was Telos. Usually between like a cultural site and going into nature

worth it it's cool to be like down below like usually you don't have that perspective when

you go to these places yeah you're in the top of the canyon looking down but here you're like just yeah yeah just if you go don't forget to look up like that was one of my favorite things just to

look up. The whole time you're worrying about tripping over the rocks because you're just like

walking through the water and you can't see anything. Yeah. If you look up then you can have
